Episode 9: In this episode, we’re digging deep into sleep.
Not in a “have you tried lavender spray and a white noise machine?” kind of way.
In a “here’s what poor sleep is actually doing to your blood sugar, cravings, cortisol, metabolism, brain function and ability to feel remotely like yourself” kind of way.
Because here’s the truth: you can eat well, workout consistently, even manage your stress and do all the things—but if your sleep is chronically off, everything—everything!—starts to feel harder than it should.
I know because I just spent four weeks getting really shitty sleep.
And I could feel it everywhere:
→ my energy
→ my motivation
→ my eating
→ my mood
→ my ability to function like a normal human being
If you also find those zzz’s elusive sometimes, it is NOT in your head. You are not alone. And, it’s not just about poor sleep.
Up to 61% of women in perimenopause and postmenopause report frequent sleep problems. And when sleep is disrupted, multiple systems shift at the same time:
blood sugar becomes harder to regulate
cortisol rises
cravings get louder (and ruder)
hunger hormones change
brain function and decision-making take a hard hit
Which explains why everything can suddenly feel like an uphill battle—even when you’re trying really hard.
In this episode, I’m breaking down:
what poor sleep is actually doing to your metabolism
why cravings feel out of control when you’re exhausted
why you can be “doing everything right” and still feel off
six real-life ways to support better sleep (no perfect routines allowed)
and why sleep isn’t just one piece of the puzzle—it’s the thing that helps all the other pieces work better
This one is for the women who are trying.
The women who are showing up.
The women wondering why everything feels heavier than it used to.
Spoiler:
Your metabolism called.
It says fix your sleep.
